I am sure that he will get it if draw happens in 1 or 2 weeks...and anyway he has 45 days for NOI so it makes sense to wait...:) I would w8 if I were in his shoes:cool:
People above 430 don't need to go for OINP they will get the ITA so save money and also it is quite quick as well people are getting PPR within a month...and let me be clear these are my thoughts but everyone should keep the documents ready you never know what might change....

I am in dire need of suggestions right now. I appeared for IDP IELTS for the third time with LRWS 8.5 8 6.5 8 and this result was quite devastating for me. Please let me know what are chances for increase in remarks after revaluation. Has anyone been lucky so far ??
I too applied for EOR for speaking and it increased from 6.5 to 7.5 and received the results within 3 weeks. That's super fast!

IDP does their re-evaluation sooner, like within 4 weeks...you would just need a 0.5, so I would go for re-evaluation with a 50:50 chance...
Agree! They are quick when compared to BC. I got mine within 3 weeks with a positive response for Speaking.

Great! Congrats. Yes, your application might get some delay after addition of spouse. What is your current BG status?

Yes I ordered in December, Eligibility & security not started. I will order a new set in 1st week of February to get the recent picture. BG is NA2.
Thanks.

IP2 on 20-Dec, same day my spouse’s name was added in my account.

I also ordered GCMS, hoping to get it tomorrow or early next week.

I believe there is some movement to my account since I got a phone interview from SGVO a week before I saw the IP2 status, so hoping to receive the PPR 30 days from now :)

Keep me posted on the status of your application :)

My CRS is at 441.
Have potential to increase by 3 points with 0.5 increase in speaking (7 in speaking) or re-taking the test. Wondering which is a better option. Or is it best to leave it as it is and wait for scores to drop?

My CRS is at 438, with no any options left to increase the score other than making my wife sit for IELTS.
Looking at the 2018 trend so far, if CIC continue to stick with 2750 with biweekly draws, when do I have a chance to receive ITA?

Abishek89***

Please give your spot on predictions as usual. How many draws should I wait before getting an ITA?

I would suggest you to wait for the next draw to see how the trend is going before you decide on the next course of action.

these 2750 draws are depressing... I have no hope for a 420 draw anytime soon anymore.

I'm packing up my life in South Africa now and going to go travel Europe for a bit and maybe settle there, thankfully I have a UK passport so I can still do that until Brexit next year.

Still hoping for Brexit to be scrapped, idiotic decision that one
Hey, I originally had wanted to immigrate to the UK. But Brexit uncertainty, as well as much longer immigration time and a few other reasons led me to choose Canada.

Sometimes you get something when you have stopped seeking it. Enjoy your travels in Europe for now! And you might get your chance at Canada later this year. I don't think CIC can keep the number of ITAs this low for the rest of this year and still meet their increased targets for 2018. I am actually hoping to spend a year in Europe some time after I become a Canadian citizen.

If you have UK passport then I do not think you have reasons to worry. Imho UK Ian a better place to work and settle down than Canada.

My first choice was UK but I settled for Canada as a second choice.
Me too. I was looking to move to London. The job market in London seems to be somewhat better than in the big cities of Canada. However, aside from the much longer immigration time than Canada for those of us who are citizens of neither country, I think Canada is better for non-whites and those of us who would like more diversity, in terms of population and terrain. As a free spirited non-white who appreciates the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and who likes to live in a lively city but also vacation in the wilderness, I eventually concluded that Canada would be a better place for me to settle after all. But I might think differently if I were white, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for the UK regardless. :)

Can somebody share the TEF exam preparation link...
I have no idea of this exam.
Where do I get proper information about it?

Completely echo your thoughts. I'm currently working for a British company who would consent to transfer me to UK if I had a work permit there and I would have chosen that route in a flash. But getting a work permit there is not all that easy, besides I prefer Canada for its diversity.

The lowest score of last year was 413 and we had three draws with a score of less than 420. Yes there are many aspects which are different this year compared to last like more applicant for example, however, this seems almost impossible for me to think, that the score will not go down to at least in the 430 region. Maybe more frequent draws or draws with more invites, but in any way, I firmly belive thatt the lowest cut off will come down at least 10-15 points if not more.

Just to clarify... 2750 is the number of main applicants invited to apply for Permanent Residency in Canada and does not include the total number of family members each principal applicant would accompany them. For instance, if each of those 2,750 bring at least one accompanying immediate family member, that number doubles automatically to 5,500 of potential new PR holders out of 310,000. Note, the principal applicant plus all accompanying immediate family count towards the overall yearly immigration target (a.k.a 310,000 new immigrants).
