Wednesday morning folks... very likely the first 2018 ITA day. Unless they make a huge draw of over 3,500, I can only see the CRS cutoff going up from the last time.

The Nostradamus in me predicts a draw size of 3,000, with the cutoff at around 450, plus or minus 2.

Let's all hope that the larger draw sizes and higher frequency that we're expecting from 2018 starts happening soon. Hope keeps the world afloat :)

Hello everyone,

I'd be grateful if experts here help me out with following questions:

1) I've heard that if you have a sibling in Canada in other provinces and you mention it in EE profile, there is less likelihood to be nominated for OINP. The reason is that they speculate that you leave Ontario after landing there. Is this perception correct?

2) Is PNP processing fee much more than money you need to spend after receiving ITA?

Thank you.
Reply to No. 1 : It is right that Ontario or any other province, giving you PNP will speculate that you might move out and wont prove beneficial to the particular province in driving its economy.

Although I am also waiting at 417, but it seems very difficult that points will come down to this level, but who knows CIC might be we can have good luck. My advice is, whenever you get NOI, go for it its all about 1500$, so don't take the risk, i will do the same.

Why I said its quite difficult for lower CRS, due to one reason only that is USA residents trend towards Canda immigration after changes in US H1B visa and other types of visa. There are a huge number of US citizens are expected to rush over Canada in upcoming days, that's what my observation
Very True @seeramzan. We all should pray for the OINP to open soon and send us the NOIs, 1500$ will be an investment to ours and our children bright future. The OINP route will be taken for sure no doubts.

Note that this are just assumptions based on interpolation of a highly volatile data.
So it is highly speculative and no one should come at me with their anger if they miss out.

As of this morning I expect the pool to look like this.
601 - 1200 580
451 - 600 2,447
441 - 450 1,240

Based on this interpolated pool data, I expect lowest CRS to be as follow.

2750 ITAs --- 454 +/- 2
3000+ ITAs-- 451 +/- 2

I believe the data for 600 and above is too volatile to project correctly to any reasonable level of error, due to the fact that it is mostly dependent on number of PNP that entered the pool. If the number is significantly lower than that, then we can see everyone above 450 get ITA tomorrow.

Enjoy.

Thank you Bhai. :)

Don’t rely on OINP without NOI. I would suggest you to give IELTS for 1 last time if it improves your score drastically and try to give your best show now. Things will be more clear by Mid-2018. Best wishes mate. :)
Your right @Karnesh even i'm contemplating another try my 5th, and 3rd for my Wife.
After I achieved CLB9 in my 3rd try my points were 416 in May 2017, but I missed the ITA as the results (TRF) was withheld for random inspection/quality check....my hard luck.
After that I gave my 4th try in Sep 2017 was expecting a better result as I thought I did well, but was disappointed with the result (L:7.50,R:7.50,W:7.50,S:7.00), went down in other sections but I improved my writing.
Now I've ordered for cambridge 12 IELTS material.....lets see....

there should be around 5000 candidates above 440, but 3000 above ITA's will see the cutoff to be around 450, agree with that.
