Re: Ray of hope 61th draw

FEW QUERIES ABOUT ITA:

1) I got my new(2nd attempt) CELPIP result today and updated my CRS score just now. My score was 412 before and now it is jumped to 418. (though in the system it still shows 412). Any possibilities of getting ITA?

2) My wife's extension of work permit was refused 2 years back and she had to restore her status then. She was in break at that time and resumed her work when her status was restored. In her work experience will I have to break it in 2 section (before and after of restoration) or can I keep it in 1 and explain it in LOE?

3) How long does it take to update CRS score on the system after updating English Test Score?

Thanks in advance. Smiley

What actions are you planning to take? Reappear for IELTS? Learn French?

I am learning French. Not very good now, though the point change coming in June makes it a good option in around a year.

I've been accepted to a Canadian Master's Program. Will finish Dec 2018

Hope of a job offer. I keep applying

IELTS and foreign education maxed out.

All the best!

I was considering learning French but decided against it because I am a complete beginner and may not pick up enough French to pass TEF for at least a year.

I was a complete beginner too, and have a long way to go. But since there are few ways around being old, I figured it was worth it.

Keeping all options open and seeing what gets the ITA soonest.

Re: Ray of hope 61th draw

Guys any predictions about when the next draw will happen and what the cut off will be?

Not a prediction, just a fervent hope: 61st draw - minimum CRS 403, ITAs issued 4,000+ ;D

Like everyone here, I want/need the score to drop further. But I also have to have contingency plans and make some decisions near term on increasing my score.

So, for those of you who just want hope, skip what I have to say.

The things in the draw statistics that really stood out to me are:
1. The decrease in the size of the total pool between 4/7 and 4/13 numbers was only 740
2. Between 4/12 draw and 4/13 statistics, 691 people entered the empty pool above 430. That was only 1 day!

This leads me to think that the drops may become smaller. I hope to heck that I am wrong. But I don't want to just wait if I should be taking actions.

The reason for huge number of new entrants within 1 day after the previous draw is majorly due to declining of ITA's received on 4/12.
After getting ITA, people realize that they have made silly mistakes in their profile and decline the ITA and re-enter the EE pool.

Also, the decreasing CRS trend convinces people to decline the ITA without much thought. For example, if your score is above 450, you don't need to think much, you know you get another ITA in the next draw..

Re: Ray of hope 61th draw

I am at 395 after getting L8.5 R8 W7 S6.5 in IELTS. I have applied for re-marking of the Speaking module. if I receive positive result, my crs will be rocketed up to 453.

Do you think I could get ITA with 395 in the next couple of months?

Thats a huge difference. Why dont you retake the IELTS if the results come back the same? There are some changes happening to the EE program in June so the points may go back up. The next few draws will give you a better idea

Of course, I'll go for it.

I guess it's possible, but they had to be there before the draw to be able to decline.
