Not sure about question 1.
Question 2. You can apply for visitor status just before your work permit expires. That will give u legal right to stay in Canada while your application is being processed. The first visitor record usually last 30 days and after that you can apply for an extension which would last for a year. I have done this before.

I have claimed one year of work experience (from Feb 2016 - Present). But I just realised that T4's are only given until year end i.e until Dec 2016.

In that case, how would I be able to prove the next two months (Jan and Feb 2017) of my work exp. to the govt. I hope I am not screwed. Please provide your precious advice. Though I do have all my pay stubs for that period.
