Good luck, and I would advise to check celpip I feel it's easier.

Thanks! For a year I didn't realise how close I was! 0.5 extra in listening and I would have had 471 ages ago! I booked the next free IELTS test near me... so close!!!

I guess we can put all speculations to an end on 19th Nov, when we get to see our ranking in the pool :P

Between, i lost 5 points last week, i currently stand at 453, and my profile is due to expire on 18th Nov. I am procrastinating if i should withdraw current profile and create a new profile now, or shall i wait till 19th. Anyways i am not impacted with the new CRS changes :-\

Any thoughts? :)

Not sure If we can see ranking because it was pointed out that there is no change in that sense, just wording was different.

Your profile is expiring so I guess you don't have a choice but to create new

I think the next draw will be around 2500 ITAs and the score will come down or go up only 2-3 points. Because of high scoring intl students.

I think all the draws from now until the end of the year (~3 draws) will all be 2500 ITAs

I am on 460 and after new changes, I should go on 510, so may I expect ITA in next draw

Does anyone know if you get a lower IELTS score on the 2nd try do you take the results from the most recent test or you can pick and choose whichever is higher? My first IELTS test was done in March 2016?

You can chose which IELTS result you want to use if it's still valid. You cannot combine two results though.

Do the new changes mean that LMIA will no longer be awarded 600 points, but rather only 50 or 200 depending on job level (senior managers vs. others)? OR LMIA would still be awarded 600 and LMIA-exempt (NAFTA, international agreements) will be awarded the 200 and 50 pts? No where is this made clear...

Here, to save you some trouble :P

So, can we hope for a 2point drop again?

I believe it will drop till 450 in the forthcoming months. I wish you all the best.

I hope the next draw is on Nov 30 as I have my birthday on dec 4. I hate my birthdays :(

I am at 467, having my birthday next month. I know how it feels, now it's like more than feeling sad of being a year elder it's more about losing 5 points.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language.asp

It basically says the language test result you use for your profile must be valid when you receive ITA(2 years validity from the date you receive result). You can provide any valid test result number in your profile as long as it's still under 2 years. There is no rule or restriction that you have to use latest result.

It doesn't hold true for me, but didn't know this:

If your results will expire before you can apply, you should:
-be tested again,
-apply before your test results expire, or
-decline the invitation and go back into the pool to be considered in the future.

Is it true for age as well..like if you get older, falling behind the cut off, in that post ITA period, you have to decline the invitation?
