Hello All,
what is the base of the speculations that there are many people at 481? I do understand that the score has not dropped below 482 since May. But there can be plethora of people between 475-480 too..

Thanks and good luck all

Good to see the increase in number of ITA's and decrease in CRS but not sure to where it is leading. There's lot in talks about the new rules. Hoping to get ITA by next month at least.

Waiting at 478 since June 4th.

Hi All,

I read the whole thread but didn't see anyone talking about the upcoming changes in November for International Students. Is there no Int'l buddy in here or is it all a lie? All skilled immigrants? Coz trust me you all are really at a very good position with your current scores. There are people way below than that. Even I got ridiculously very low score right now.

Just waiting for some new policy to come up for us people.

In 2017, if we have 2000 ITAs per draw, IRCC should make a draw like this:

  • 700 ITAs for CEC: 450 points
  • 700 ITAs for FSW: 460 points
  • 400 ITAs for low-skilled workers: 350 points
  • 200 ITAs for PNPs: 800 points

Right now, there are absolutely no differences between FSW and CEC, except the need of POF.

You know this model makes perfect sense if only CIC considers this.
All categories must be given a fair chance relative to the realistic score one can get.

With the current setup, a poorly scored applicant with CRS 200 and provincial nomination would have a better chance of getting a visa than a well educated and skilled applicant with CRS 460 applying for FSW! It's crazy ???

I wonder how crowded 450 to 482 would have become. Myself waiting at 480 :/

CIC should issue a mid year report soon...That should give us a better picture of how many are waiting.

Really hoping by the trend the next CRS draw should be lesser than 10 points least to 473/475... Hoping it stays the same

What would be really really helpful is if the break down volumes of people in the 400 - 500 score range by 10 point bands. There is a huge difference between people at 400 and those at 450.

So.. Seen the last score.. People with CRS between 420-460.. Should start thinking about next year? Unless 600 pts for PNP is received..

Putting that lower limit at 420 is VERY optimistic. Looking as it is, the chances are that the cut off score will remain above 450 as there are so many new people entering the pool higher than that. The only hope for people in the lower to mid 400s is that OINP will not raise the points from 400 to higher, otherwise there will have a really hard time getting in at all, unless through other PNPs.
