If I get ITA in upcoming draws (e.g. on 15 September 2020) with secondary applicant Ielts to be expired on September 29, 2020,
1- Would I be able to update it with new Ielts score after receiving having the ITA ? or
2-I would just have 14 days to submit my application ?

Kindly update me on that, don't want to risk anything.

What is your CRS?

If you have claimed points for your spouse's IELTS in your CRS, then yes it should be valid before the submission.

1) You won't be able to make the changes in your EE application. Because, after the ITA a new application of PR is being generated which collects data from the EE profile and locks it.

2) No, you still would have 90 days of submission time period. However, it depends on you. If you believe that you will get the ITA before the IELTS expiry of your spouse then submit the application before 29th September itself /or simply retake the IELTS and update the scores.

Friends...My ITA is 23rd July and AOR is 29th July
While submitting my profile, I missed to add my spouse and mine immediate family details due to wrong assumption that only PR applicants need to be added. I realized this while discussing with a friend and submitted a web form with all the details on 3rd Aug. Today I received an email saying the information have been forwarded to responsible office for consideration. Will the officer consider this?

Now, this is an unintentional mistake and I hope it won't have any negative impact on my application. Please advise if I need to take any action?

Thanks

Currently waiting at 469. Lost 5 points in April. Enrolling in French classes for both points and experience that will hopefully help me land a job more easily. I have couple of of questions.

1. There is obviously the highest band but what band should I aim for if am planning to upgrade score by 9-10 points?

2. For outsiders (am residing in India), the exam would be TEF Canada, right? Got confused between the various options and scoring bands.

Going to take a guess that you lost those points because you grew a little older, right? :)

I'll be the voice of experience and a bit of a debbie downer for what I think you're going to try to do (and don't worry, I was in a similar position) - by all means learn French, but know that the test for proving French proficiency is not for the faint of heart. Here in Canada, I've met folks who did have to give the exam and they've almost all said that the French exam for proving proficiency is orders of magnitude harder than the one most people give for IELTS. Here's some pearls of wisdom from one of the GOATs in here, back from when I was applying for express entry.

Mind you, these are French people who said this, so take from it what you will.

I'm learning French through the free resources here in Canada, but it's mostly because I like the language and always wanted to learn. But I wanted to give you a heads up if you were seriously trying to bank for the shortfall because you grew one year older.

My advice? Unless you were treading water with those 5 points, it's not worth the effort at this stage. All it will likely mean is that you might qualify about 2 lottery drawings later than someone else does. In the grand scheme of things, very minor.

Guys i need expert Advice :
Work experience :
Company A - 2 Months -->Received reference letter as per CIC format
Company B- 8 Months --> Received reference letter as per CIC format
Company C - 6 months --> Received reference letter as per CIC format
Company D 17 months --> Received reference letter as per CIC format
Company E 5 months --> Refusing to give me reference letter.

What can be done to prove the work experience at company E since i claimed 3 years work experience.
They gave me a standard reference letter stating entry date and ending date. No number of hours worked and list of duties and responsibilities.

Any suggestions ?

In the past for situations like this I recall some folks successfully using a letter from their former manager (so not under the controls of the HR) and including their business card when compiling the documentation.

What if nobody is willing to give a letter ? My manager refused my the letter actually and I was thinking to decline my ITA , remove the company from my profile and apply again after three months at another company .

Woah, pump the brakes, that's a bit extreme! :p

Here's the thing - unless you specifically ask for a document that has all of those details, nobody actually gives them by default.

I speak from experience; when I filed my application back in 2016, I had to ask all my former employers to give me a letter exactly like the one the CIC expected to outline what I did to meet the requirements, but it was Plan A. I had a backup plan to use based on what I saw via research on these very forums. Here's an example going back to 2013!

Plan B is simple - you keep the standard reference letter they gave you, keep your pay stubs (and make sure you get those for the period you were paid), your original offer letter and if you aren't including it already, your bank statements to show the salary for that period being credited to your account.

Remember: You are not lying about your experience in Company E, so you have nothing to hide and everything to gain by providing as much evidence of your work as possible, even if Company E is not being particularly cooperative. To be honest, most Indian companies would make it unnecessarily difficult too (it was for me, too!)

Do not take or think of such drastic steps to withdraw your application over things like this! Everything's going to be fine. :)
