Im guessing regardless of the total count adding to 3900ITA's for the last 2 draws happened usually if there are 2draws back to back they take 3 weeks gap for the upcoming draw and in this current situation they might have planned to take CEC and PNP draw seperately instead of same day(following previous pattern) so that they can create a picture of draws happening also considering 3 wednesdays in april and the current situation they may not be able to handle 3draws ITA's 3400(avg)x3 draws...Thats why to skip the 1st 2 wednesdays in april they should have made the draw in 2days with 5days gap..Hoping next wednesday there will be draw 99%

given 5 Wednesdays in April, this point could be valid.

No not being aggressive at all :)

instead, i chose to reply to abusive words with positive attitude. we cannot just remove Covid-19 from immigration formula currently.
No denying that. And GC has every right to delay or even stop immigration. Immigration is not a given afterall....it's was an opportunity provided by them and they could choose to withdraw it. But once it has been rolled out, now there are a lot of stake holders with a lot riding on the draws so it's not unreasonable to say a bit of clarity would help.

All said, the official communication from IRCC remains that EE is on so I would want to remain positive and wait .

Appreciate your positive inputs.

FYI there is a long weekend in Canada for Easter April 10-13. This Friday & Monday are off, so I wouldn’t expect any draws happening on those days.

These are just the standard patterns from the past, what different now is that FSW's have not been invited for 6 weeks (assuming a regular draw takes place next week) which never happened before. If they wanted to follow previous patterns, we should have seen a 3900 ITA's regular draw including FSW's on 18th March followed by three weeks gap. This is why people are getting frustrated.

frustration should not weaken our self-control.

I believe, due to the fact that high scorers (PNP holders and a majority of CEC candidates) have been cleared and that IELTS exams and WES process have been pushed back, many people have been happily expecting a lower minimum score should the draw had happened. However, CIC surely knew how to take their own sweet time.
Personally, I think there is no draw this week because of the coming long Easter weekend. In terms of system maintenance, we usually avoid rolling out critical changes or policies before a major holiday because if things ever go out of the track, it will be harder to deal with.

Hi guys, I actually have a nomination from Alberta which brings my overall score to 982. Is it a guarantee I will get invited?
Yes you are, as soon as the next draw happen. Keep your documents ready.

When I remember that FST draw is around the corner plus these delays, i just wonder the sort of magic that will fetch people an ITA. How we come out from this mess is gonna define us anyways so we just have to stay woke.

I definitely empathize with everyone here. While I am still hoping for a positive outcome, it is unsettling. I think IRCC should be transparent regardless of what they are going to do. If they want to halt the draws until further notice, that's fine as long as they let people know. People need to be prepared for this.

I see no point in telling everyone the rounds of invitations are happening when there have been no signs of draws since the last CEC draw. If we don't have a draw today, we can't possibly expect a draw until Tuesday. If I am right (I hope I'm wrong), the influx of new candidates since the last draw should be spiking the cut-off by at least 5-10 points. If 470 was the average cut-off before everything went down, expect the cut-off to be in the range of 475-480.

If it's going to be program specific draw, the cut-off score will be slightly lower. On the other hand, Express Entry is not going to be sustainable if this pandemic is going to last for a minimum of a year. If they are going to ditch the program, let's hope they come up with a better alternative.

I will be the happiest person on the planet if they choose to go ahead with the draws, but I am prepared for the worst. I am absolutely gutted because if we had a draw this month, it would have been the first draw since I qualified (and created a profile) for Express Entry.

Honestly I feel like next draw will be on 15th April. Please share your predictions for regular draw and CEC only draw.
