It is hard to predict the next draw due to the influx of candidates with scores of 472+ in the last draw. If the score goes down, it would indicate not many are able to achieve scores of above 472. If the score rises, it would mean it is getting more competitive. In my opinion, the next draw is going to set the tone for subsequent draws until the FST draw which will likely spike the cut-off score by a minimum of 10-15 points. So, if your IELTS or CELPIP score is the culprit behind your sub-par scores, it is high time to increase your score before the FST draw.

Absolutely! You are right and i have given Ielts 3 times.

After this I switched to celpip

And now will be taking it on 14th feb 2020.

Did you take CELPIP General. I am in the same situation as you are, my PGWP is expiring in May this year and my crs is 471. What are your fallback options?

Sorry... I was just nervous with the 4 week gap between the draw before the FST and after the FST.

Don't be. Even with a FST draw, the spike would be +20 points (worst case scenario) and won't last for more than 2 draws. Assuming the cut-off for the draw before the FST draw does not go above 475, the draw after FST should still be below 495 points. You are going to be more than fine. My projected score for May 26, 2019 is 479 and I already maxed out on English. Lol, I guess the FST draw might screw up my chances pretty badly. I never liked FST draws, CIC could at least do a regular draw with lesser number of ITAs along with it to reduce the build-up of candidates.

Usually, the 10th or the 11th draw in the year is the FST draw. It entirely depends upon the interval of the draws. We could have a back-to-back draw and that might result in not having a regular draw for three weeks, which pushes the FST draw further.

Ironically, that's around the time I will be qualifying for CEC with 479 points. As long as you get WES evaluation and ITA before May 25th, you should be good. CIC makes an exemption for age when they compare your points at the time of ITA and e-APR.

CES is been mucking up my evaluation. I will get 475 if they grant me masters in April. Any realistic chances of 475 before April or will the points go above 475 match and never come down again? Any senior member please?

I think 475 will be a safe score until the FST draw. It's hard to predict the scores for draws following the FST draw. If you are under 30 and have 3 years of foreign work experience, you can get up to 481 points with a master's degree. I do believe every point will make a difference at this point.

I've got NOI from Ontario in the recent draw (13 Feb). I'm not including my current employment in the work experience section of my OINP application as I don't want to let my employer know that I'll be moving to Canada soon. However, my passport and resume will show that I am currently working with XXX company as YYY. Will Ontario ask me for my current employment reference letter????

Im not sure I can get more in IELTS or appear again. Very tiring process. I achieved CLB9 finally. I really hope that 475 limit remains before FST. Thanks for your opinion.
