System calculates only months, not days. I had to decline 2 (two) ITAs cause of that approach. Started to work on May 7, got my first and second ITA in April. Some people have to decline even 3 ITAs. Simply. No. Field. For. Days. Period.
What’s the point in entering the pool and declining an ITA when you know you cannot claim full points for the work experience awarded to you by the system. You might as well withdraw your profile in such scenarios and wait until you’re able to claim those points, rather than taking away someone else’s opportunity towards their goals.

If there are some bugs in IRCC system, definitely we should let them know.
Not exactly a bug, for example. When you started working on 2017/09/19, you will get you 2nd year points on 2019/09/01. Then If you received your ITA on 2019/09/10, you just have to decline it, otherwise your application will get refused in later steps.

No you don't need to. I have a classmate started work on 2018/08/20, she got the ITA on the first draw on August 2019. Then she got PR on Dec 2019.

That's a really selfish thing to say.

People always created profiles first, then improve the scores by taking English tests etc. (remember there is a thing called tier-breaker rule?).

So you must rather enter the pool on the 2019/09/10 so that you’re leaving room for others to achieve their goals in life and not taking away their opportunity.

There were multiple failed cases caused by this exact reason. One successful case does not mean anything. I would not take such risks.

In my opinion it’s rather a very selfless thing to do than enter the pool to decline an ITA when you know you’re unable to fulfil the Express Entry FSW requirements. I would have entered the pool long ago if I did that, but I’d rather not take away someone else’s opportunity, thus created and submitted my profile on the Jan 3rd 2020.

And then this is what people would do.
I am going to send email to IRCC to describe this case. They should improve system to avoid this.
Let me repeat the case more clearly:
The guy will have one year experience on Feb 2020. But used fake work experience information to get ITA twice during Jan 2020 and rejected them. I think he still in pool, if have 3th draw in Jan. He will rejected it again.

Also suggest to introduce an application fee to enter the pool and a higher fee to decline an ITA if they wish to enter the pool again.
