So in the first week of November 2019 people predicted and argued on these ROH threads. Many people said we will have 5 draws in the last 2 months of 2019. The result was we had 4 draws and reduced draw size to 3400 each in December 2019.

Now in 2020 still people are predicting 3 draws in January itself..!!! And hoping for a draw on 29th??

Somehow 86000 or 88000 ITA's will be issued this year. Now it's a mystery how will they do the distribution over the course of 12 months, but as of today it is clear guys below 467 please think of a PLAN B in life. ( Not all NOC's are eligible for PNP, don't keep all hopes on SINP or AINP etc, the quota for SINP and AINP express entry streams are between 5k to 8k respectively per year and the pool size today is 141000, do the probability matrix yourself)

The ex Canadian immigration minister on the radio interview in Surrey BC last year told these words clearly " Express entry is a like a competition, whoever scores more, gets to come to Canada" It's clearly a game of survival of the fittest now.

Be realistic everyone, please don't expect miracles in life, if it happens because of some positive news in USA or something else then take it as a welcome surprise otherwise start working on your respective PLAN B for life.
Lets not also forget people said the following :
- There wont be back to back draw in December 2019, yet it happened.
- Scores will be 480+ after christmas break yet it was only 473

I think by now people need to realize that all you can do is try your best and wait and see what happens

There was a B2B draw last January that's why people are talking about it.
IRCC is hard to predict so, you never know.
Not only last January, but actually in January 2016, 2017 and 2019. Only in 2018 we didn’t have a B2B draw in January.
Considering they “kept the tradition” and did a B2B in December, I believe the same will happen now in January. Let’s wait and see.

Is there any hope for 456?
How is generally OINP working?/Is there a specific score below the actual score that people get invited at?

OINP generally will be a pt or two below FSW (471 in this case), and go down 10-12 pts depending on number of invites.

Lost out on this draw by a tie breaker.

I am devastated to say the least.

Should I retake IELTS or wait till the next draw?

Someone should advise please

Many thanks!
So, how do we know the number of invitations for the OINP? Is it published somewhere else?

Ontario has conducted a Tech Draw on January 15 inviting 954 Express Entry candidates with eligible work experience to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

Those who received a Notification of Interest (NOI) in the January 15 draw had Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 460 and 472.

The province of Ontario issues NOIs to express entry candidates to invite them to apply for provincial nomination.

With a provincial nomination, their scores jump by 600 points and they are prioritized for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Candidates selected in this draw also needed work experience in one of the following six occupations:

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program launched Tech Draws in the summer of 2019. These draws were created to help Ontario meet the growing labour needs of the province’s tech sector.

Ontario is home to several of Canada’s major tech hubs, notably those in the cities of Toronto, Ottawa and Waterloo, and Tech Draws are designed to meet growing labour needs in the sector.
