I have 1 year Canadian experience and 2 year 10 months foreign experience. I am wodering whether I will get the 3 years foreign experience equivalent points after I worked 2 more months in Canada?
My current score is 464!

I have a similar situation, I applied for a work permit on Aug 30th 2018 and started to work full-time Aug 31st. I received my work permit only on October 31.

Based on your response I cannot claim 2 months of experience (September, October) until I received work permit?



Can someone else share their thoughts, please?

Can you please check again and re-affirm us on this.

Yes, this is right! But I guess the discussion is about counting the experience of work while we are waiting for the work permit for our PR. And, I am sure about only the experience gained at the term you are working when your work permit is valid is considered for PR.
I am sure about this because my PGWP will only be 1 year and the processing time is 3-4months. Although I can work for 1yr + 3-4 months on a full-time role, I can only claim 1 yr of experience. I confirmed this by a lawyer too.

If you are legally allowed to work, you can count that experience in. Simple as that. Your lawyer is wrong

No Issues, You will accept ITA after Nov 12 anyway, that means points that you will get for your 1 year work anniversary are well justified. [Accepting ITA before the 1st work anniversary is a debatable topic]

Unless of course he gets an ITA on the basis of tie breaker .. Then if officer looks at when he created profile he’ll see that he wasn’t actually eligible as at profile creation date . This scenario may not happen but why risk it over couple days ?

My advice , delete that profile and create a new one so when you get your ITA , you can accept it with peace of mind
