Seniors, one quick question..
When filling the application form online for PCC from India, there's a dropdown which asks,

"Purpose for which PCC is required"

The options are,
1) Citizenship/Nationality application
2) Education/Research
3) Employment Visa/Work Permit
4) Immigration Purposes Other than Citizenship
5) Long term Visa/Stay
6) Residence Permit
7) Tourist Visa

Which option do we need to choose?
Option 4. It asks for which country you want the PCC. You select Canada.

Even in the PCC (from PSK) it mentions that your PCC is for canada.

Thanks for the response.

But looks like the final PCC report will look like this... The wording look kinda odd to me..

"It is certified that there is no adverse information against [Applicant' Name] holder of Passpport No. [Passport Number] issued at [Place] on [date] which would render him or her ineligible for IMMIGRATION PURPOSE OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP of CANADA."

Will this format be acceptable by IRCC? What does the statement OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP of CANADA mean?

Yea. Thats the standard format given by PSK. That language does seem weird, but you are applying for residence and not citizenship.

Since May 31st people didn't get their NOI yet most of the people with 458 should get invitations on July 24th. Because I don't think many people will get NOIs within two days. Seniors any views regarding this???
My thoughts as well. Except they miraculously start approving all the OINP Applications on July 22 & 23, which is possible but not likely.

Hi all,
We got pnp request and planning to apply for it and our work permit will expire in November. So my question is once we apply for the pnp , can we request for bridging open work permit ?

Guys,
If you think the cut off on 24th July is 458. Then what would be the tie breaker date?
It is hard to predict tie breaker as we don't know when people created profiles. But my guess would be around 15-20 June.

Hi All,

This is regarding the address history section post-ITA.

1) In the last 10 years, we moved to 6 different houses for rent in the same city. In that, we were staying in a place for jus a month. I don't remember the address of that house, also there are no documents available to get the address. Is it ok to leave this address and fill others without any gap? will there be any issues?

2) Should the dates been in each house should be accurate or any approximate date would suffice?

3) Will there be any verification as such? The house owners might have forgotten me, also the neighbors wouldn't even know my name. Will this become an issue?

Please advice. Suggestion will be very helpful :)
1) try to be as accurate as possible.
2) yes approximate dates would be fine.
3) no

You can make any changes before you recieve ITA and it won't have any impact. CIC will find out about your rejected application though as they have question in express entry asking that did you apply to IRCC before. But don't worry it is not going to impact your future applications in any way since it wasn't a case of misleading information or fraud.
Yes, I have mentioned about the older application. I just want to be safe. The old one expires on Aug 12 so I have heard they will have no data regarding it. I filled out my first application without much knowledge and made a few errors.
