Raising personal ratings

Just wanted to bounce this idea in an effort to improve ratings system...

We should introduce another variable some thing on the lines like "Ratings to other forum members" and to show how many just rate it down or up. In this current model, you allow one rate each day so you just need one member to rate you -7 in a single. Introducing how you rate others will offer another prospective.... Just wanted to share. Good night!
 
Excellent idea.

Well to add on to that, we should have how many times each person gave a bad rating and how many times a good rating. That way we know who the complimentors and punishers are ha ha. Also if i rate you, then you should get an email to say that i rated you up or down ha ha. I am going to rate you +2 for your excellent idea.
 
I tried to take you to 0, but apparently i can only rate you once per day. you'd have to wait another day, just to be decent on the scale lol.
 
I think we should see exactly who rated you + or - and on what post. If people are not willing to show in public where they stand, their rating should not be seen in public either.

I posted a post criticizing the health care system in Sweden and made fun of it calling it a "socialist paradise" and all of a sudden I went from 0 to -7. Obviously a political rating. :)

Too funny! I hardly respond to posts but apparently in the few times that I have, I have managed to offend some people. Poor, poor pitiful me! :'(
 
Maybe there are some socialist swedes on here. I promise I did not rate you down for it, I don't know the healthcare in Sweden at all but I do know that the German healthcare is better than Canadian, however, they pay like 8% of their wages directly to healthcare.

Maybe you get rated down for being abrasive. I saw one message where you just replied to the guy to turn off his caps lock without giving him an answer. If the caps lock bothered you, you could ask him to turn off his caps lock and give him an answer. If the guy got pissed off about it, he could have rated that post of yours down and then stalked you to rate other posts of yours down without those posts actually deserving it.

Don't be sad maua. I was just reading the post of a new member. He posted twice- once to ask the question and the other to thank the person who responded, and he was rated -1!

If you speak your mind and others don't want to hear that then you are in for a slide---- but i think that is the way it should be, you are sharing your prospective which may or may not be relevant based on the context.

Rating should reflect both side of the argument.
 
Apparently someone doesn't like me once a day lol. i go down one everyday and then go up because some other poor soul decided I was good enough to go up. It would be good to see which post made me go down 1 lol.

SO I SHOULDN'T WRITE LIKE THIS LOL.
 
by the way, i think this is the most fun thread in the forum.
