Hello Experts

When and What status implies the confirmation of R10 check?

What is the difference between R10 Check and Eligibility?

My AOR date is Feb 11, 2017. Right now my Bg check is at "Not Applicable", what do you guys think this means?

Thank you

IMO,
IP 1 confirms R10 check.
IP 2 for eligibilty.

In R10 they check your documents for completion etc. and determine that everything is in order and you have provided all the needed documents correctly. If you pass this stage it means, your documents were complete and as per requirements.
After this your eligibility is determined to check your education, confirm CRS score and check experience, i.e they check whether you are eligible for the program you are applying and meet the criteria you claimed in your EE profile. this happens at IP2 stage.
As per your timeline i guess you must be at the IP2 stage by now or close to PPR. All the best.

Thanks for the explanation. So medical pass doesn't guarantee R1O right? I passed medicals on 3rd June and bg is still NA. So if it changes to in progress and to NA again, then only can I be sure of R1O isn't it?

Don't worry dear, 5 months period is pretty normal for FSWO, CEC applicants get their application processed a bit faster.
Hopefully everything will be great for you. Which stream are you?

Hi,

I am fsw-o with Canadian experience. My online BG status changed to "we are processing your background check" after medical passed a week back. It is not yet changed back to NA.

When I called automated IVR option of CIC it said my eligibility check is in progress. Does it mean that I've cleared R10? Is it anything to do with fact that I have not uploaded my RCMP upfront?

Yes, IMO your R10 is done, as R10 is almost completed by the time our medicals get passed, next step is eligibility then.
yes RCMP upfront helps speed up process.

Hi Kirank,

I submitted my eARP two months ago along with all the additional documents CIC asked. I have been waiting for my PR and yesterday I found out by chance regarding the police certificate, my situation is as follows;

I went to my home country (stayed there for 4 weeks) and obtained my PCC on 14 March and departured on 20 March to Malaysia (my current residence place). What I found out was that, the PCC should be obtained AFTER you have left the country and if it issued before the departure date, then your application will be refused.

However, as per my BG status it says "“We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“" meaning that I am in IP2 stage,
So does it mean that CIC has no problem with my PCC? and everything is alright at this stage? Should I get a new PCC and send to CIC?

I am so nervous and scared, i worked so hard for this application and now it seems i lost it! Please Help!?

Thank you in advance

which is the part where PCC's are checked?? like for example if not all period is covered for a stay in a particular country then is the application refused prior to r10 or post r10??

I think it is not applied for Home country. For visited country, yes has to be after the daye you left the country. But for home country,I read somewhere No. you should consult an expert on thisand I wish you good luck
