HIYA,

I have a senior friend of mine who is 48yrs of age and had applied under the old rule in 04.He got the generic letter last year and have not heard any other request.He is comtemplating of either total withdrawal,waiting or reapplying.

He works in a big bank in Nigeria HE IS AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER by level and a REGIONAL DIRECTOR,he is the chief executive officer of his region consisting of over 35 branches with well over 50 staffs.He oversees the whole functions of the region,business,finance,admin,risk mgt,legal,treasury,financial control HR etc.He read English Education B.SC,POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MASS COMMUNICATION.He has well over 17years of working experience.He has attended a lot of senior management courses abroad with lots of experience.

My questions

What NOC do you think he can qualify under?considering all the aforementioned.Pls give honest opinions,suggestions and advice because he needs this for his family not for him personally.

See brother, your friend can apply under 0111 - Finance Manager, but make sure he performs at least 75 % of the duties listed on HRSDC website. As he would be then eligible under fast track program and also his employer has to validate it on company's letter head.

As stated NOC 0013 & 0122 are precisely for bankers and related occupations. Howvere in order to qulaify for applying under FSW one has to qualify for the occupations under 38 listed ones. Most match would be NOC 0111 but again in order to qualify one should have significant background working as Finance Manager or Financial control etc. related functions even in banks. I hope that clarifies..

Thank and God bless ya.Will do the needful asap.He is actually my husband.I would have been the PA but i left my bank job 4yrs ago and travelled abroad to get a degree in COMMUNITY,HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE,so my worry is my work experience.I would have look to apply my self because my course of study is very relevant or what do u suggest or think?

Your course of study is hot cake in Canada. I would suggests you apply and your husband too in other to maximise your chance.
You would have build up years of experience before your application is finalised.Or alternatively build up points from other areas to get the manadatory %
Also from experience, i will advise you submit your application from abroad if you are in Europe
Processing is faster and more staight forward than applying from Nigeria.
Our application was concluded within 3months from the medical stage- visa issuance in London. Though we are 2007 set!

Thanks.l ought to have gone back for 2 years work visa but there is so much pressure at home etc my 3 kids and husband,so have been back since last year June and honestly am not working for now because the jobs are not there except on a man to man basis.My husband is a chief executive, we agreed in 04 for him to be the PA which we applied have our file number but honestly am running out of patience but I was informed by a formaer colleague of mine whom we applied at about the same time that our representative say CIC is working on July 04.

I really need some good guidance and advice,if you know what i mean.

You can have parallel applications with CHC, which ever will come first for processing, they will send a letter to ask for a decision from your side that is whether to continue or not. But the information has to be updated not changed in other application as CHC might take it in a negative manner.

Its never too late. I will advise to forward your application (self) now through London if you still have a perm address there.
Will do alot of good while you are waiting for the hussy 04 application review. Can feel you with kids and lck of Job but God is your strenght.

I do have an address as u rightly suggested.How do i go about the work experience,though i got a lot of experience while schooling but not sure it will be enough.I do know have got better chances if am to be PA.
