Hi,

I received the ITA on Jan 4 and i hired a representative to do my job.
They asked me to submit a bunch of details and i gave it to them in a document.
I am getting a feeling that they are pushing it towards the end.
I just wanted to check if the sooner we submit, is the processing done sooner and we get the PR sooner?
If that is the case then i will be ask the rep. to process my application ASAP.
As of now the only document that i see is the Police clearance certificate for which i am waiting from the embassy to get back to me.

When you submit your application does not have much to do with how quickly you can get PR. IRCC tries to complete processing for most applications by 6 months. BUT if you follow threads here, you will see longer processing times as well, owing to backlogs and recently the increased number of invitations in EE.

Also, when they say six months, they mean from the date of submission of your electronic application for permanent residency.

What's the rush? You don't want to miss some documents and get your application rejected as incomplete due to trying to "submit ASAP". I would rather take nearly the full allocated time and submit an application as complete as possible to have the highest changes of PR, than submit quickly and get rejected and have to restart from zero.

This reminds me of an applicant I believe in September who submitted the application three days after ITA and was rejected after 7 days because he missed some basic documents

Your representative should be sufficiently skilled to work efficiently. As soon as you get your AOR then the processing can be begin.

I wouldnt trust a representative. I would take charge of my own application.

I wouldn't trust an agent either. They don't have a magic wand. They just charge an exorbitant rate for filling up a form that you can do on your own. They don't even give you control over your profile.

Agent is required when:

1. Case is complicated
2. No time to check/verify everything yourself.

In other situations one can do everything themselves.

Keep in mind as well you're not your representative's only client, so they will not submit as fast as you like. (First-hand experience.)
