Hi everyone!
Long story short, I'm a Canadian citizen, and recently married my wife (from China) last December. I'm in Canada, she's in China. We were just getting underway with applying for spousal sponsorship when this COVID-19 kicked us in the butt and messed up all our plans. After being stuck in another province for several months, my wife is now back in the city where she lives and has access to her sponsorship paperwork, internet, etc. So we are trying to pick up where we left off and things are kind of messy at the moment with some government offices etc still closed or not fully functioning.
My question to you guys is whether or not she needs to get certain documents certified by Chinese government before getting sent here. I'm aware I can have the documents translated in Canada, which is what we will do, just curious about whether they have to be certified or not first. She could only have these documents certified in her hometown or in Beijing apparently and i definitely don't want her traveling anymore during this pandemic! If we must, she can send off these documents to be certified in Beijing at the price of $100 CDN for each document
The documents I'm wondering about are:
Thanks in advance guys!

The documents I'm wondering about are:
- our marriage certificates (little red book)
- her birth certificate
- her police check
- her "hokou" (a household registration booklet)
Thanks in advance guys!
