Quick question on IMM0008 Generic Application Form

This might be an obvious answer but it's better to be sure than regret later. Question #3 How many people are there in this application including you?

Ans: I answered it as "1" since I'm single and all I have is mom , dad and sister (They are not accompanying me to Canada. They are all settled else where)

Therefore, we need not mention about them in the form (IMM0008) where it allows you to add dependents right? My understanding is that MOTHER, FATHER, SISTER are NOT really dependents? Am I correct?

Yes, you are correct. Mother, father and sister would not be considered as dependents. So, go ahead and remove that dependents column.
