Hello everyone. My wife and I are currently nearing the first stage review in our spousal PR application. We've also decided that we would like to send in an Open Work Permit (OWP) application for me to be reviewed along with our first stage process. The application itself is actually quite easy to fill out, and not very confusing, but I do have one question.
In the application it asks about a Labor Market Opinion (LMO) from a prospective employer. As I understand it, this is required for someone who is attempting to apply for a Workers Visa. Does this section of the application still apply to me? Or is it not required as I am applying for an Open Work Permit?
I am under the assumption that an Open Work Permit would allow me to freely apply to a job of choosing after receiving it, as opposed to needing a job to acquire the permit in the first place. Any and all information on this would be very helpful.
