hello, i was wondering, when they say "in process" does this mean that they opend the application or its just that they recived it? when i got my letter from the embassy it was dated 17-10-08 and when i opend my ecas it stated that they started processing my application on 25-11-08.

another thing, usually after how much time does a visa office request for an interview(not security), taking into account that the visa office iam applying thru has a timeline of 3-6(damascus)?

Your eCAS status will say "In Process" probably throughout the whole time they're assessing your file. The overseas visa offices don't update much of anything, except maybe to enter a "Medicals Received" somewhere along the way.

Usually they decide whether to interview for a genuine relationship pretty early on - because it's one of the first things they assess. Some visa offices send a letter notifying you that the "initial assessment" has been completed - and that the interview has been waived . . . but they always include a disclaimer reserving the right to request an interview later on in the process if it's required.

aha, but what i ment in my 1st question is does the date shown on ecas means they only recived the file or it means they opend it ?
