Hi,

I just received an invitation from the government asking me to take the test. I will for sure read the book of Discover Canada thoroughly. But I just want to know how hard is the test. Do I need to purchase some test preparation materials/apps online?
I found this website https://www.citizenship-app.ca/, but it's not free. I also found one that charges me ~$30 dollars. Is the more expensive one providing more genuin questions than the other?
Or maybe I can just prepare the test merely with the book which can save me some meals.

No need to spend any money at all. That would be overkill for what's definitely an easy test for the large majority of people who read the book and maybe check some of the free mock tests.

I wouldn't purchase extra materials. I bought one (citizenshipsupport.ca) and I found that the test was not as difficult as their practice test. Use the practice tests from the libraries (Toronto, Richmond etc) or websites that offer tests for free (citizenshipcounts). And be sure to construct a good timeline! It will help with any potential history questions.

I passed the test today. I ended up purchasing the weekly plan from https://www.citizenship-app.ca for $2.99. My opinion is it's worth it especially if you have limited time (say less than 5 days). However, if you plan way ahead and have plenty of time preparing for the test, then you need nothing other than Discover Canada.
