Hello everyone,
I was looking through CIC and I saw something called Temporary Resident Permit. I read the requirements and I'm still kinda confused.
Long story short, Im moved to Jordan with my husband after I couldnt handle being away from him. The Amman VO has a tendency to take about 2 years processing and I was going crazy in Canada.
When I visited the Canadian embassy here in Amman, the consular advised me to apply for a TRVisa for my husband. Even though I told her there would be no way that he would be approved because he has absolutely NO ties to his home country (Which is Syria... obviously no home ties....). She said try anyways cause the IO looks at each case differently.
So we applied, paid the 185$ fee, got his biometrics, blah blah. We sent the application on a Thursday and on Monday we received the refusal letter stating that he was not eligible to come to Canada because of "not enough ties to home country)
After that I kind of gave up all hope and am enjoying my time in limbo, not.
Anyways, now Im wondering if I can apply for a TRP for my husband because we are both stuck in a country that is not our own with no jobs and really nothing at all.
Anyways. Is there any way I can apply for a TRP for my husband even though we already have a Family sponsorship application in process?
