Hi,

I have few questions in IMM5490E , sponsored Questionnaire form . Can you please clarify . Thanks in advance

1.Q - 13 -When and Where the proposal take place ? Is this related when our parents started talking about marriage ?

2.Q-17 , Who arranged marriage , When was marriage arranged ? Is this Actual Marriage Date or when the marriage date was fixed ?

3.Q- 14, 15, 18,19, 25, 26a - It askes to attach photos & Document proof ? , Also in the Proof of relationship - It asked to attach photos (Marriage , Engagement , Reception , Flight tickets ? Do we need to provide same evidence twice ?

4. Is It mandatory to provide letter from family & friends for Spouse sponsorship ?

5. Option C - Print out , I just filled tax returns for this year , it takes time to get Option-c , Shall I include last year -Option C ?

HI,

I'm sorry, but I can't comment on questions 1 and 2, as i'm not familiar with arranged marriages.

3. Most people seem to provide 3 separate envelopes, with their sponsorship application `package':

Sponsor's forms and associated documents.

Applicant's forms and associated documents.

Evidence of Relationship-
This is where you provide all of the information (pictures, marriage and engagement info, travel tickets, letters from family and friends, etc.)

On the questions that ask for this information, simply write `See Evidence of Relationship' folder (or something similar).

4. I believe that you are required to have at least two letters from family and friends and they must be notarized.

5. Yes

Good luck!

Do we need to have at least two letters from family and friends, notarized? or is that only for arranged marriages?

I am fairly sure the notarized letters are only required for common-law or conjugal sponsorship, not marriages.

I will say that family notarized letters depend on how strong you want your file to be.
I am married (for 2 years at the moment of the application) and we lived together for 3 years before marriage.
Our marriage wasnt arrange and we had thousands of proofs of our relationship.
BUT we decide to ask for letter from my parents, his parents and brothers/sisters. Not because is require, but to make our file stronger.
I think in this case, the most, the better! You dont want them to write to you asking for more 'proofs' cuz that delays process, so, if you can give more info, then do it! :)

That's my advice!
God bless and Good luck
