Hello everyone!

I've been a Permanent Resident of Canada for a decade and decided to finally apply for my Citizenship : - )
I've filled out the online forms, but have a couple of quick questions for forum leaders:


1. I run a business that has a virtual office in Toronto, but I live and work from home in Vancouver.
In the work section do I add the home address or the company address in Toronto?

2. For the past four years, my partner and I have spent 3–4 months each winter in the United States. We typically drive from Canada over 4–5 days, staying in short-term accommodations along the way.
When completing the residence history section of my citizenship application, should I list only the primary U.S. address where we stayed during each winter, or am I expected to include each temporary location we stayed at during the 4–5 day drive as well?

1) as you wish. IRCC doesn't really care. If you list your Toronto address, nothing stops you from specifying that's its a virtual/remote work in case you want to avoid any confusion.

2) Skip those, or any hotels/airbnbs/friend houses for short vacations. Only list the places where you "live".

1. I will follow your guidelines on listing the Toronto address and specify that i lived and worked remotely in the optional documents.

2. Ok will do. I will likely also write this in the explanation letter to ensure that the officer understands I am not withholding information. Especially since traveling from my location in Canada to the location in the US takes at least 24 hours.

Permit me to ask a few follow ups:

1. Does PR card and Govt issued DL work in identification documents? The PR card does not have a signature.

2. If i didn't update my residence address for the last tax year with the CRA but did it now will this matter? My taxes are all filed and paid.

3. I've scored a 9/9 in IELTS but cant seem to find the 10 year old report. Can i use my graduation certificate and transcripts which are from an english medium university?

No need for explanation letters really.
In the job section, you can add remote in parenthesis next to your job title or address. Everyone is familiar with remote work in a post covid world after all.
And for the address history, IRCC just doesn't need the extra-information. You can't withhold what isn't needed. Feel free to add them if it gives you some peace of mind, but the officer working on your application will just move on 2s after reading the LOE.

As for the other questions :
1) I guess so. All government issues IDs should work.
2) IRCC only verifies that you filed your taxes for a certain number of years. They don't check the details with CRA. Not an issue.
3) Sure, as long as the language medium is obvious. If it's a degree in English literature or if your university was in Canada, UK or US, yeah, but if you studied in English in Italy or India, you may need some letter from the university specifying the language of education, unless its clearly indicated in the diploma or transcripts.

Ok, will add remote in brackets/parentheses. I will likely still add a few points in the optional documentation so the officer has it on hand. Rather overkill than under : )

For 1. and 2. thank you for the clarification.

3. So, I did go to school in India at a large, english university in Mumbai. All transcripts and Graduation certificate are also in English. I could likely get a letter from them, but it takes forever!

Would it be more productive to ask IELTS to send me the expired test instead?
