questions in self-employed immigrants?

hey guys.
I am a freelancer in painting and graphic . I have 2 questions:

1- art is a major field. as a freelancer I make my money by painting,illustration and graphic designing. can I apply as an fine art artist and graphic designer? what should I do?

2- next question is about payment details. It's been years since I do freelancer jobs.and I dont have access to my old payments. is contract enough? or I have to show bank confirmation?
