Five questions I asked Buffalo visa office on 'buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca' ref. their “Appendix A” checklist,
1. (p. A-6, section 12) My wife and I lived in the Falkland Islands (British colony) for 2 years since we were 18 years old. Do Falkland Islands qualify as a separate country for police clearance, or are they covered under UK clearance?
2. (p. A-6, section 12) I will be making my initial application to CIO, Sydney. Do we have to submit police certificates at that time, or submit them direct to Buffalo when visa applications are in process?
3. (page A-3, section 3) – does this apply to my non-dependent 30 and 33 year old children, who are not applying to live in Canada? Both are UK citizens, one living in UK and one in US.
4. (page A-6, section 12.) For my children referenced above, do they need police clearances if they are not dependents, and have no intention of becoming Canadian residents?
5. Same question for page A-6, section 14 – do I have to attach photos of my children if they are not part of my application?
Their response was that they could not help with filling applications, or give personal advice – just follow instructions in the kit.
Can anyone help with answers to any of the above?
