Questions concerning First Landing - Qorax & Senior Members please respond

I plan to land with my family in the first week of April. We plan to be there for 1 week before returning back to the UK where we are currently based. Can you please answer the below questions?

1. Is there any minimum number of days that we are required to stay in Canada upon our first landing ?

2. We plan to stay in the UK until July 2015 before moving to Calgary for good. Will there be any issues with shipping our personal effects and carrying our valuables in person at that time? Do we still need to declare the goods to follow although the shipping will be about 2.5 years from the date of our first landing ?

1. No. U can leave by the very next flight. As long as u meet the "residency requirement" - u've no issues.
2. There's no time limit for the Form-B4. U can bring ur goods (duty free) till eternity thru it. It's advisable that u get it stamped during ur 1st entry into Canada (aka "landing").
