SSDI payments will be stopped if you move to a different country. Payments will be stopped once you are outside of the US for more than 30 days. See manual.

Are you already PRs or citizens of Canada? If not, how were you planning to move to Canada? That is an important consideration as well.

We live in Texas, and I was thinking of just up and moving, but I am worried that we will lose income if we do so. Thank you for replying.

I have SSDI, not SSI. I know one is for a disability and the other is income. I have a disability income.

So do you have work permit with approved job offer with LMIA or PR? Are you coming to visit? You cannot just move to Canada.

You can't just pack up and move here. That's not allowed. You would need to qualify to immigrate through one of Canada's economic immigration programs like Express Entry.

That's not good, I cant just up and move, oh well thank you for your reply
If you want to assess your chances of being selected for immigration, you can complete the Express Entry calculator below. You want to have a score of 480+ to have a decent chance of being selected. Points are awarded based on factors such as age, language abilities, level of education, and skilled work experience. Note that you will also need to show that you have sufficient bank savings to support your settlement here (there is a minimum amount you will need to have in savings based on the size of your family).

This is one of the reasons why this particular forum was created back in 2016...right after this entire website crashed following the U.S. presidential election.

Respectfully, you're not the first person to think they could just pack up and move to Canada from the U.S. by just driving across the border.

Perhaps there's a more desirable part of the U.S. that will help to give you and your family a better life.
Good luck!

Because of the Totalization Agreement between The U.S. and Canada, if the OP is a U.S. citizen and has paid into SS for at least 40 quarters (10 years) they would receive payments in Canada:
