Hi there, I have a couple of questions about LMIA based work permit. My employer got a positive LMIA on May 3rd and is currently waiting for a confirmation letter. I work with children so I went to get medical exam done on May 11th. I have not applied for work permit yet. My current work permit(IEC) expires on June 4th. My questions are:
1. Can I apply for work permit at a border while waiting for result for online work permit application?
2. How long does it take for medical exam result to get added to my file online?
3. How long do I have to wait for result of medical exam if I am applying for work permit at a border?
4. I am already working for the employer that got LMIA. Do I still need a job offer letter and a contract?
I am trying to figure out what is the best way to get work permit ASAP so that I can continue to work after June 4th. Thank you in advance.
