Questions about IM0008 and IM5406 (inland)

I'm helping my spouse (applicant) fill out the application (I am the sponser).

On IM0008, Question 3 says:
Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

I am a family member (spouse), but I am not an applicant. So is the number 1 or 2 here?

Additionally, IM5406 has the same question (additional family information - spouse), am I supposed to be put there, even though I'm not part of the application?

Number of family members is 1.

IMM 5406 Additional Family Information: this is different than the other forms, in that for the other forms 'family members' means your spouse or partner, and any dependent children. For IMM 5406, though, you include all the people they ask about. So yes, you are listed as the spouse. Parents have to be listed, as do any children and all siblings.
