I am currently in Canada with my wife i had arrived on February 20th. My status expires august 20th and we had gotten married on may 1st. The covid virus has really made me realize i cant be with out her. I know i have to extend my status at least 30 days before should i start the process earlier?
We are currently waiting on the marriage certificate to get processed through the government and with the delays i am not sure if we will have all the paper work ready by the time my status expires.
I had expressed to the border agent i would only be here a few weeks but with the pandemic i ended up being here longer. They did not stamp my passport upon entry should i apply for extension sooner because of that?
