Question for someone who is refugee claimant.
He wants to withdraw application and go back home but worried that government may seize his assets and bank accounts. I told him I don't think that would happen but he asked me to check on this forum.
Can government seize the assets and bank accounts if someone either leave volunteerly or deport by government?

Are you asking about the Canadian government? No, they won't seize bank accounts.

As scylla said, the canadian government will not seize his assets or bank accounts.

As long as he doesn’t owe the government money it shouldn’t happen. He should also arrange to purchase his own ticket home with CBSA. If he owes money to banks or other Canadian companies they can attempt to recoup any money they are owed.
