Hi All,
I am a Canadian PR living in US and planning to move to Canada towards the end of this year. I am also planning to apply for my parent's visitor visa. My original plan was to have my parents visit me in US and we go to Canada together but I realized after reading up some other threads(situations somewhat similar to mine) that this might be a bad idea. I still wanted to confirm this as each case is unique. I have a few options regarding when and where to apply their visa from and need some help in choosing one.
1) Apply for their visa right now. I am still not in Canada so I can't send them the invitation letter. I also read that this reduces their visa approval chances.
2) Move to Canada and then apply for their visa. This will take a while and would be the slowest way but perhaps the safest way?
3) Invite them to US early and apply their visa from here(so they go for fingerprints in US). US has only 29 days of processing time but this can be risky if delayed as I will be stuck until their visa arrives.
Misc info: My parents have US visa and have visited US multiple times, maybe this improves their approval chances.
Thanks in advance!
