Question regarding visiting South Korea while in student permit.

Hi there,

I have a question, my niece is been here for about 7 years now under a student permit at secondary school, she is at 10th grade now, recently she was picked to have a volunteer work from her school to help people in Korea (it's a Private Christian School ) so here is my question; does she need to apply for a visa to re enter Canada if she leaves the country while visiting Korea? Can she goes to the US having a student permit? I know she needs a US visa, but I'm not sure about going to US for shopping and comeback the same day, we live in Vancouver.

1. Yes, she will need visa to re-enter Canada.
2. Yes she will need visa to re-enter Canada from US if she plan to travel to another country from US.
3. Yes she will need US visa even for going for one day shopping (if she is not from us visa exempt country).

I apologize we are from Colombia, all of us are Canadian Citizens but her, so basically she has to apply for a Canadian visa to re enter Canada here in Canada or does she needs to apply back in Colombia?
