Hello everyone!

My wife and I finally submitted our PR application on February 5th, 2019. She arrived in Canada on January 10th, 2019 with a one year visitors record (which went smoother than we thought). Also, we tied the knot on July 31st, 2019.

I went through an immigration consultant and prior to her coming here, it was tough to get very detailed on the proof of our relationship and we did the best we could with the advice with our consultant. We managed to obtain the following with submitting our application and I wanted to run it by everyone here (gosh, I wish I would of read more stuff on here prior to submitting it!)

This is from the checklist on IMM5533.

We submitted the following on the first part of the proof checklist:
1. Rental agreement drawn up by my mother through a professional that was notarized (we are living with her rent free during the PR application while we establish ourselves as a newly married couple)
2. Proof of joint bank account
3. Proof of joint credit card account
4. Credit card statement mailed to the house my wife and I live in, with proof of address and her name as the joint holder as well

We submitted the following on the second part of the proof checklist:

1. Twenty photos of us together with the name and the date on each one, naming each person and describing what we are doing (wedding, engagement, vacation photos, photos with family, etc)
2. Proof that my wife is listed as a beneficiary under my life insurance
3. Support letters from my mother and sister on my side and her sister/best friend on her side
4. Love letters that her and I both wrote separately explaining how we fell in love and got married
5. Facebook photos that show as engaged with over 100 comments from both of our family and friends congratulating us, also marriage facebook photos with people congratulating us as well
6. Screenshots showing our first conversation on OKCupid

It was difficult getting so much stuff ready so quickly.

Since our application has been sent off we have received the following:

1. My wife's health care card covering her for health insurance in Alberta (thanks to the one year visitors record).
2. Adding my wife onto my health insurance coverage I just received through my job (they literally just started it after the application was sent off.. go figure)
3. Added my wife onto my cell phone plan (she just got a phone)
4. Added my wife onto my Costco membership

I really wish I could of added these four other things onto our application but it is too little, too late. We were going to add her onto my car insurance but at a whopping $4000, we can't afford it at this time. I guess it will be nice to have these extra things incase the government asks for more proof.

Anyways, do you think, for the most part, even though we hit the minimum of what the government wanted with our proof of relationship, it should be ok?

Thanks everyone.

Sounds like you sent plenty of proof. I don't think you need to be worried

sounds fine to me too. You can always submit those via webform if they ask for more proof

Webform? Interesting. So those four things I listed that I never sent off, I can electronically transfer over to the government if they ask?

Thanks. I was a tad worried that I didnt send enough proof. My consultant wanted the other four items but did not have enough time. She said it's ok we didnt add it, it was only to strengthen the application even more.

Thanks so much.

Oh hey I forgot to mention,

We also added a beneficiary form called a "Personal Directive", done through the government of Alberta which lists my wife as my primary caregiver and sole director incase something horrible happens to me (end of life cancer, brain dead, etc). It is free and doesnt require a lawyer. Apparently, from what my consultant said, this is an excellent thing to have while proving the validity of marriage.

That's correct. She arrived in Canada for an inland sponsorship and recieved a one years visitor record.

Dont send more unless they ask for it. Youve sent plenty as it is
