Hey, hope y'all doin' fine during these tough times.
I just want to ask, if it's possible for prospective international student (No visa yet) to open a Canadian Bank Account? This is for proof of financial support.
The reason why I wanted to opt for this, instead of showing a bank account in my home country is because, my brother would be lending me money. However, he is already in Canada. Hence, he would be lending me in CAD. The problem with using a bank account in my home country is that it would cause a lot more fees (i.e., exchange rate fee), because I would need to convert the CAD to home country currency, then back to CAD.
