Hi all,

I have a little question regarding possibly damaged passport. While waiting for the decision on my PR application through CSQ submitted in April 2021, I have a little unexpected inopportune.

I'm aware that there will be a part where IRCC will request for my Passport (PPR) when my application is nearly done, however, couple days earlier my wife kept my passport and a sealed water bottle in the same bag, unfortunately the bottles has leaked and my passport was partially wet. After having dried my passport, there's almost no visible damage on any pages, everything is very clear including the personal info page and any pages that contain any visa or stamps. However, the structure of the dried paper has changed and like any other paper, you can tell the pages are hardened, as you turn the pages, they feel more crunchy and make a plastic-like sound rather than soft papers.

Now, knowing that Canada has more strict regulations towards passport, as found on the IRCC page, I'm not sure if my passport will be judged "damaged" when I send it under PPR.

If, in my situation, I do need to get a new passport, what happens to my work permit that has my current Passport Number on it and the visitor record I applied to my wife? Do I also need to fill up an online form to update my passport information for my PR application? Will this affect the already ultra long processing time under Quebec Selected Skilled Worker program?

A lot thanks in advance!
