Hello there,
Thanks for looking into my question. I'm adding a little much of a background note behind my inquiry in order to make the situation crystal clear. My wife landed here in my country (she came from Canada) for the purpose of visiting me. She landed here in early second week of September and plans to stay with me until the early days of March,2016. To be honest, I and her weren't expecting a passport submission stage to begin in the duration of her stay. Anyway, I received the notification and filled the App.A (Updated info chart) to the best of my abilities.
After researching online on how much time it takes for the passport to return (2-3 weeks) and from the given instructions in the correspondence letter, I gathered that I should also include her information in the given space. But, I didn't send her passport because she happens to be my sponsoring party and owns a Canadian Passport. She and I plan to land in Canada together now (and she is quite excited about it). There are couple of comments in this forum that suggest to not to enter the sponsoring party's info in the App.A chart (whether accompanying or not) and that got me confused. She is here with me right now and she plans to accompany me to Canada. We don't have any children so that space has been left blank. Even though I planned carefully, have I done anything wrong?
Edit: As per given instructions in the letter, I also have to report to Canadian Port of entry shortly after my arrival. If I leave her information out (in the given chart) but she accompanies me, wouldn't they see it as me being dishonest with them?
Thank you for your kind response.
