I am a canadian citizen, my baby has born outside canada. We have informed embassy of canada in abudhabi. We have emailed them. But do we have to inform cic in Mississauga as well? Also do we have to add him in my husbands application? We have already applied for my husband immigration. I will apply for my baby citizenship certificate and temporary passport. Still do we need to add him into my husband application?

no, the baby will not need to be added to the application. your husband will probably have to update his additional family information form to reflect the birth of the baby.

Absolutely. You must notify CIC of any significant changes. This includes address change, deaths, divorce, etc. Births is there as well, probably the most important change they are referring to. I would suggest you do so immediately.

right, but the baby doesn't need to be added to the PR application, as it is a canadian citizen and doesn't not need to be sponsored as a PR. I'm pretty sure the visa office will ask for an updated additional family information form from the applicant and birth certificate. The OP has already notified the visa office. Mississauga doesn't need to be notified, as they would just direct it to the visa office who has already been notified (Which is what the OP was asking). The OP is aware CIC needs to know the information.

Well, I am confused. How did you notify Abudabi? Is it not easier for the sponsor to call CIC in Mississauga to make a update (add family member). I thought, it is the sponsor's responsibility as well. Notifying on ecas or email specific enquiries can take up to 30 days and sometimes it is not a reliable method.

All i know is, right before our baby is born, I (sponsor) am going to call CIC Mississauga. I know what forms to download and send, as well as the passport and citizenship process, but I will still be calling so there is no confusion or mistakes.

If stage 1 is finished and app has been sent to overseas visa office, then there is no point in sending anything to CPC-Mississauga anymore. They wouldn't even have your application. You need to send all updates directly to the outland visa office that actually has and is working on your file.
