Hi there, question about Appendix A. My wife (the applicant) fills the details, easy. One part says SPOUSE - does she have to put my information, or leave it blank since I'm already canadian? :)

Also, on top left it says FILE NUMBER. Does she write her file number there or leave it empty?

Also, does she send her passport via just regular mail? Or a special service? or doesn't matter?

EDIT: they say to use http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/Russia/english/index.html to mail. How does she go about this?

We put "MY" information . . . it says "ALL FAMILY MEMBERS".
Put HER file number . . . they might lose the document or you may create unnecessary delays.
We used the recommended 'special service' (courier) but in the Philippines. I can't comment on how that works for your country.

I don't know what "MY" information means. Are you the applicant or the sponsor? I guess it doesn't hurt to put my information (sponsor) in the spouse section.

And yea, the courier makes no sense. The one they recommend wants us to pay a special "handling" fee, sign a contract, sign a concent, tons of crazy stuff... just to mail in passport to the embassy? lol? and her city doesn't even have one of those services there anyway...

could I just use any courier if I want? And usually do the passports go directly to the embassy or another area first? cause if it's to the embassy, I could just use any courier that delivers official documents and bring it right to the embassy.
