No, you are not eligible. You need Canadian tax returns for the last three years to qualify.Hi all,
I have a question regarding the parents and grandparents sponsorship. I have been living in Canada since January 2018, so almost three years. I have been employed full time, but I was still paid by my foreign company. Only last year I became a permanent resident and I am getting paid in Canada. So the first two years I didn't pay taxes in Canada, but I paid taxes in another country. Am I eligible to apply for this sponsorship? i have the income, but I dont have three years of tax assessment in Canada.
Thank you!
Yes, you should have filed tax returns You were a resident of Canada.Thank you very much for your message. I was a temporary resident for those two years. Should I still have filed a tax return? And can I still do it now for those years? Also, I have a partner who has filed tax returns for the last three years. Can I add him as a co signer? And would I able to apply for the sponsorship?

thanks for your reply. Would you please provide me the link where it has been stated that tax return from 2018 to 2020 need to be submitted? For 2020 PGP which 3 years Income will be considered ??
1) 2017- 2018- 2019 OR
2) 2018- 2019- 2020
Its bit confusing as on the Immigration and Citizenship Canada website it states - option 2 - (2018- 2019 and 2020-- as it states we need to send NOA for 2020 at a later date when we actually receive it)
