Hello,
I am in the process of applying for Permanent Residence as a Federal Skilled Worker (Express Entry), and I am having difficulties to figuring out my eligibility for work experience. Here are two questions for you.
Q1. Regarding the minimum requirement for "skilled work experience," it is stated, "at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)" and "Full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time.". Referring to the latter condition, I do have over 1,560 hours of work experience, but there is a gap between the jobs (9 months in 2012 and 4 months in 2018). Can I still apply for FSW Express Entry?
Q2. I have 1 year of continuous work from 2014 to 2015, but I cannot submit any of payment documents such as bank statements and income tax documents because it was an international development project in Colombia and hard to track down the documents. If my supervisor writes and signs the proof of compensation that he verifies my work and salary, can I apply for FSW EE?
If I try one of the cases for FSW then get rejected because of eligibility issue (Q1) or lack of documents (Q2), would it be difficult to re-apply Express Entry again in the future?
If both cases don't work, I think I have to change my EE path to CEC next year, which will take longer.
Thank you so much for your help. Looking forward to hearing from you.
