Im a UK citizen attempting to immigrate. I'm due to marry a Canadian national and wish to apply for residency after marriage. I would also like to obtain a work visa ASAP. what visa would i need to enter canada with next month, in order to move the process along of the Open Work Permit and Permanent Residency once we are married?

You are visa-exempt, so you just enter Canada as a visitor.
You should really apply outland. There is no work permit option but it is significantly faster than inland.
Have a look at the IEC program to see if you qualify.
