Hello my friends,

I am about to enter the 2018 lottery draw for my parents. Right now my family is me, my wife and a 2 year old girl. Of course total is five including my parents. My question is since my daughter was born in 2015, is she counted for 2014 at all or which income requirement category should my case fall into? My understanding is my family size was 4 in 2014, hence income requirement for 4 people should apply.. or IRCC will go by the number of family by the time of submission? I am a bit confused.

Many thanks
Frank

Family size is the same in all years, based on the date you send the application.

So if your family size is 5 in 2018, you'll need to meet LICO for family size of 5 for all previous tax years.

thats not true: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1460&top=14

It varies and based on the each financial year

You need to stop correcting this information in old threads. First of all, no need to bump old threads. Secondly, this WAS the rule back then and this is how LICO was calculated for family size. The rules changed in 2019. So your responses are incorrect and you're providing wrong information for the rules during that period.
