Question No. 21 - No of Days Absence from Canada

Hi Guys

I became PR on 5th Oct 2010.
My first PR Card expired on 5th Nov 2015
I did not have a PR Card from 5th Nov 2015 to 14th Dec 2016 and I was out of Canada.
My second PR Card is expiring on 14th Dec 2021.
I can apply for renewal in March 2021
I plan to send the application on 1st April 2021
I came to live in Canada on 18-Feb-2017 and till 1st April 2021, I will have 1114 days of presence in Canada.

My question is while answering Point No. 21 of the PR Renewal Application which dates should I use for the Absence Assessment.

For the PERIOD FROM, shall I use 14th Dec 2016 (because I am counting 5 years back from the PR Card Expiry date of 14th Dec.2021) OR 1st April 2016 (because I am dating the renewal application as 1st April 2021 and IRCC counts 5 years back from the date of the renewal application)

For the PERIOD TO, shall I use 1st April 2021 (because I will date the Renewal Application as 1st April 2021) OR 14th Dec. 2021 (because that is the PR Card expiry date).

In summary in a 5 year period of 1825 days, I have 1114 present days and 711 absent days.

1 Apr 2021, because that is the date you sign the application. Could 5 years prior from that date, from will be 1 Apr 2016.
