....Or if anyone else could help.

I am a Canadian citizen married to a Mexican citizen. We are wanting to get his Landed Immigrant status. We are currently visiting in Vancouver for 6 months, and I'm wondering the best way to go about this process. I am also wondering if it is possible to apply for the BC PNP from inside Canada? He is a painter and has enough points to qualify but I am so confused about how to go about applying. Based on what I've read here you and a few others have some great advice. I know I have more questions but first things first, thank you for your time.

Why are you even thinking about PNP? He is married to Canadian unless you are ineligible to sponsor, (ie sponsored a spouse in the last 3 years on welfare) you should be sponsoring him. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Unfortunately I am unable to currently sponsor him because I am on Income Assistance, due to a complication in my pregnancy. So given that information what would be our other options? That's why I was thinking about the BC PNP. Again thanks for your time.

He's a painter (decorative painting, wood refinishing, spraying......) with 15 years experience. His job was listed on the web site, and he's already had job offers in the last week since he's been here but because of his status (visitor) they can't hire him. There is a company who I'm sure would be willing to go through the PNP process with him if they had to.

Thanks, Nicole
