Question concerning Lebanon's current situation?

So my older brother sponsored my mother & I roughly 15 months ago (2018 May) and I believe we have reached the end of the process as we are only currently awaiting background search.

The problem is that Lebanon has currently entered its 11th day of a revolution/protest and I believe the embassy has been closed for the majority of this time so we are expecting a delay in our paperwork but our main concern is that if these protests turn violent, what would the IRCC choice of action be? Do they accelerate the paperwork so that family members stay safe or would we be stuck here until things calm down?

IRCC very rarely accelerates. They would simply transfer processing of your application to a different visa office that is open.
