I hope this question doesn't get lost among all the spam being posted here tonight...

I am a foreign citizen living in Taiwan. I will be sending my application through the Hong Kong office. When I fill in the names for myself and my son I find myself in difficulty. I have a Chinese name, and while it's obviously not on my passport it's used in local documentation here (like my resident card, driver's license etc.). Where do I put this name on the forms? Do I have to write it anywhere? It's really not clear to me - if I write it under Aliases should I write the characters or the pronunciation of the characters (I NEVER use the romanized form of my Chinese name - why would I?). Should I write the name on IMM5406? The forms obviously aren't intended for people who live in other than their countries of origin...

Similarly, my son's English name is English, while his Chinese name is... well, Chinese. He has both names on his passport, but he does NOT have the romanized form of his Chinese name written there. Should I write it anywhere (it's not really an alias as he never goes by this appellation).

Thanks for any help you might offer.
