I was on social assistance for a while. If I wanna sponsor my parents to Canada, do I have to pay it back. Is there anyone paid it back. Is there any contact so I can reach?

Paying back welfare is irrelevant to sponsoring parents. You need to meet the 3 year income requirement to sponsor them.

How long ago were you on social assistance? As mentioned above, you need three years of income that meets the minimum requirement to qualify to sponsor them.

I was out of it since 2012.
I got enough for 2016, for 2017 I got big money I think it should be enough.

If I got 3 years income higher than what I need, my 2012 social assistance wouldn't be a problem right?

IRCC doesn't care about your financial status prior to the 3 qualifying years.
